Kerman & his Jumpin' Jazz Combo
I’m extremely
excited to announce that I’ve put together my new band,
consisting of me on vocals, Tom Hubbard on Bass, Tim Harrison
on Piano, and Jeff Brillinger on drums. I’m also really
thrilled that our debut will be a double bill with my old and
great friends The GrooveBarbers (Sean Altman, Steve Keyes, Charlie
Evett, & Kevin Weist.) Here are the details:

I’m feeling quite rejuvenated after my yearlong musical
hibernation, although I did poke my head out a couple of times
to sing with The GrooveBarbers and to make a brief appearance
in (and sing on) a feature film. In truth, life after Rockapella
has been pretty fun-filled and hectic, although I have missed
the excitement of performing live.
I've loved being at
home more with Debbie, Eli & Jules. Eli seems to be having
one very long growth spurt. He's now in 1st grade (which he loves),
has started to play the piano (which we all love), and is playing
on a soccer team again this year (I'm one of the refs - and I
definitely need glasses). Jules is talking up a storm and he's
extremely funny. He's started going to nursery school several
times a week (which he adores). It really is amazing to be home
all the time with the boys and to have the opportunity to watch
them grow up.
Debbie's art career
has been growing leaps and bounds. Many of her designs are now
on products being sold all over the world, including dinnerware
and glassware at Macy's, Kohl's, and Bed, Bath & Beyond; paper
products in fine stationery stores; popcorn tins at The PopcornFactory;
fabric in fabric and craft stores; wallpaper and borders and art
prints, in many locations; and next year Christmas ornaments and
rubber stamps and other scrapbooking items. Her relatively new
website is great and you can get a taste of her art - here's the
link: http://www.debbietaylorkerman.com
I've been spending
about half my time working with Debbie on the business side, and
the rest of my time immersed in songwriting and playing the piano
(which I love).
Life is good.
Love,
Did
